Our Story

Sri Lanka is a country made for exploring.

From the beaches of Mirissa and Galle to the hills of Ella and Kandy, travelling independently gives visitors the freedom to experience more of the island at their own pace.

SeekWheelz was created around a simple idea — renting a vehicle in Sri Lanka should be straightforward, while local owners should have an easier way to earn from rides that would otherwise remain unused.

Instead of operating like a traditional rental company with its own fleet, SeekWheelz connects travellers directly with local owners through a dedicated peer-to-peer rental marketplace. Travellers get more choice, while owners remain in control of their pricing, availability, and rental approvals.

A Rental Marketplace Built Around Trust

Verified Renters

Renters provide identification and, where required, valid driving licence information before a rental is approved. Cars and vans require an International Driving Permit from foreign renters.

Verified Listings

Vehicle registration, revenue licence and insurance documents are reviewed by our team before a listing goes live.

Owner-Controlled Approvals

Owners remain in control of who rents their vehicle. Every rental request is reviewed and approved by the owner — no automatic bookings.

Direct Communication

Built-in messaging lets renters and owners discuss pickup arrangements, rental details and other important information directly.

Rental Agreements

Approved rentals include an agreement with key details — renter, owner, vehicle, rental period and pricing.

Two-Way Reviews

Renters and owners can review each other after a completed rental, building accountability and trust within the SeekWheelz community.

No Rental Commission

SeekWheelz is designed to help local owners benefit directly from renting out their vehicles. Owners set their own rental prices and receive rental payments directly from renters — in cash at pickup.

SeekWheelz does not take a commission from the rental payment.
